Sometimes TV3 just has surprise for me.
For a good time I hadn't glued to a TV set for a good movie as so few warmth movie for me to watch.
Not tonight.
I was burning my data DVD with both my PCs (Yeah, burn baby burn!) while had the TV switched on just get off some boredom air and TV3 is showing A Lot Like Love.
Frankly, romantic drama such as this not really my cup of tea but the mood and music setting is just right. Yeah, the movie is sweet and no guns involved. LOL.
Well, its a pretty long duration love seeking story that takes 7 years to have hero & heroine to finally get together. After both kept on hitch-cup on careers, relationship and life.
They met up 1st on the flight to New York and the hero (a.k.a Oliver, by Aston Kutcher) noticed the heroine (Emily, by Amanda Peet) dumping her ex while stepping down from the car. Then, out of the blue in the flight, Emily suddenly made a move on Oliver, by rushing in and locking themselves inside the aeroplane toilet for you-know-what. Haha, it IS wild.
Since then they kept on meet up with each other albeit most of them were short/random encounters. However, the chemical started to react between them and took 7 years for it to brew.
Ha ha, I ain't a story-teller. So, just catch the wikipedia to check the details
A Lot Like Love by Niger Cole However, I find it hilarious to get Emily crashed her head onto a glass panel at the final leg.
I liked the story. Pretty much relevant and real. I think it is the slow flowing rhythm and closeness to real-life and intimate 3rd person viewing angle makes me like it. (Huh, 3rd person viewing angle? What am I saying?)
Many will forget who they met and acquainted in past few day and never remember them after years. Many will never ever we to meet again after the 1st encounter unless something mutually important is experienced by both. Have you ever met someone you had a crush on but missed it? Feel you are the one but not later on? Feel shattered when break up? Feeling smashed even before you got the chance to say it? Distraught when you life is not what you had in mind?
I guess this is life. Life is full of encounters. No one will know what is on the way and thus people make plans. In hope the life can be navigated with plans ahead.
But in the end, we are just a leaf in the great flow of life. Let's hope the current will brings us a good destination.
Hopefully I may get such a good ending like Oliver & Emily although I hadn't got a wild 1st encounter like them yet.
Friends, have you got an romantic encounter?
