Hi! Regarding to the Japanese class in Penang Buddhist, i think that it may not so suitable for u as their teaching are not so systematic, different class has different teacher, so it depand on how the teacher teach. But we still can go for the JLPT exam at the end of the year if we want. So u may personally attend the class when u come Pg to have a trial.
I have another suggestion for u: u may go to The Penang Japanese Language Society -
http://www.pjls.org/ . Their classes are all follow the JLPT standard. However, the fees are more expensive than Penang Buddhist.
